I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. I've purchased a 'to be built' home in Southfork II....due to be completed in Aug or so. Anyone have a recommendation for a reputable, reasonably priced (if there is such a thing) homeowners insurance policy/agent there? Thanks....Chuck

I have policy renewing next month with Homewise, Watts Dawson Brandon
813-651-9660
with full cost of .55 percent of 'replacement cost'.
So for $200,000 house thats $1,073.
That is for 11 year old house, so new may be less.
and 'hip' roof less.

I just went through this hassle because State Farm is bailing out of Fl. I got insurance w/ St. John's, a subsidiary of Nationwide, for $800+. It was costing me $1300 w/ State Farm, so I am happy. Same coverages, just for less money. My agent got quotes from several company's, and St John's was not the cheapest, but damn close. My home is small @ 1560 sq ft,, and was built in 2004. Get a wind certification inspection,....that will save you some $$$. That goes for anybody that hasn't had one done. For someone w/ an older home, it really helps. My buddy lives on the water(luck him) and he saved $1300 off of a $3900 yearly bill...whew! I went through the Terihay Agency in Brandon. Lots of realestate agents deal with them from what I was told. They treated me fairly.
Thats all I can say at this point.

You need to call Joel Meek from All Bay Insurance group. His office is in Summerfield in the plaza where Sally O'Brien's is. I have both my home and car with him. He saved me over $1000 on both. His number is 677-1121. Tell him Amy from Victoria's 5th Avenue Salon sent you. I promise you he will take great care of you.
