I have set up a team for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk which is October 7th in Curtis Hixon park in Downtown Tampa around 6pm. It is an evening leisurely walk (about 2 to 3 miles), and you can find out more here: [Only Registered Users Can See Links.] ([Only Registered Users Can See Links.]). I wondered if anyone would like to join me. If you would like to, please let me know and I will get you registered. Your only requirement would be to raise at least $25 to walk. I have been in remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma for almost 5 years now and my father-in-law had Non-Hodgkins prior to that and is now in remission, so my family has been affected quite a bit by this disease. I was also mentoring a girl for 2 years who was going through the same thing I had, and just found out on Friday afternoon that she passed away, which was quite a shock for me. I am walking this year in her honor, and I would love it if anyone would like to join me. Her name was Megan and she was only 20 years old. If anything good has come of Megan's passing, it is that she has renewed my desire to fight even more against blood cancers and raise as much money as I possibly can for a cure. I am about halfway to my goal currently.
