View Full Version : Pool Issues

I am so completely frustrated by the ridiculous people in this neighborhood!!!!
I went to the pool today across from Golden Silence to find it locked, with no note or reason posted anywhere. With our keys in hand, my husband and I proceeded to go down to the new pool a little further down the road.
Now I must say we have been having issues with our key cards and I have already contacted the company via email about that. With that in mind, we went to the other pool, filled with people, and tried them there. Our cards did not work, but as I said, we have been having issues with them anyhow. We asked a woman in the pool if she would mind opening the gate. She asked if we had our cards and I held them up to show her. She then proceeded to ask us where we live and then stated we were supposed to use the other pool. We told her we tried. She said that the other pool was closed and locked and still did not get out of the pool! She then continued to say we were supposed to use the other pool and were not really allowed there. I asked her if she was seriously not going to let us in and she replied, "well, you're not supposed to use this pool."
This is ridiculous! I mean come on! We had our key cards in hand, the other pool was not open, and there were only three of us (all in our late 20s). It's not like we were there to cause trouble. I am so infuriated with this entire situation! We ended up just leaving because she was not going to open the gate for us and rather than start an argument by asking someone else, we left.
Is there really a rule stating we can only use certain pools depending on where we live?!?!? And in a situation like the one we encountered, shouldn't we have been allowed to use the other pool???? Can anyone help me understand this????

I live in Phase II and use the same pool as you (though I've only been there once). Yes, the lady was right about that being their pool and the other one being ours. It was some stupid political thing from what I understand). There's a website for South Fork and I think it's discussed on there. Here's the link... [Only Registered Users Can See Links.]
Thanks,

Do your HOA dues cover both pools?

Don't be upset, Panther Trace has seperate pools too, Phase I and Phase II.
But speaking about SouthFork, Lennar tells all their prospective homebuyers that they have access to all the pools in Southfork. You should really contact your HOA to find out what the heck is going on. Forget about the emails and call them directly.

It's called "eliteism" - next time, (something I would do) just bow down and tell the biotch in the pool "we're not worthy, we're not worthy" to be in her presence. It sucks being a peasant.

Well what is wrong with people these days is that they all pretty much suck and only care about one thing, themselves. (Forum members excluded, of course ;) )

Personally I'd like to see more socialization amongst everyone in the community, that LADY is taking things a big step backwards.

Hey Chappell,
Sorry to hear about your dilemma, but Dave is right, we can only use the first pool. Apparently, this all stemmed from the fact that when the second pool was being built, homeowners from Phase III started using our pool even though they were not paying any of their HOA towards the maintenance.
Personally, I think that we should all be able to use both of the pools. Maybe create a general pool account or something. The problem with that of course, is that it would mean that 3 different management companies would have to work together.
I’m sure that could be accomplished; just as easily as BT (or me for that matter) going a whole day without using sarcasm…. :sinister:

WHO LOCKED THE POOL???
All pools will have temporary issues. When this happens maybe a the other phase could be alerted. Yes phase 2 and 3 will have issues with theirs at some point guaranteed and I would hope a CHILDS day wouldn't be ruined by a LADY like this' RUDENESS in the future.

If the first pool is close they should let you use the other pool. What I would do I don't know if you paid a homeowners to keep the pool up. I don't know there a way you don't have to pay for all of it. if you paid for a pool that’s close and you can't use the other one. What make a different you the other one? That woman was benign a but head.
Good Luck

I think I'd lob a Snickers Bar over the fence into their pool. And no, not the kind with corn in 'em.

Why not put Baby ruth in the pool. I don't think they will know the movie Caddyshack.
Next time they will be nice and let you in.
